 Brian Rigonan
Practice Focus Brian Rigonan has a broad and varied practice that includes representing clients in construction litigation, real estate disputes, employment matters and business litigation. He also represents clients in inverse condemnation, eminent domain and land use regulation matters involving public entities, as wells has defending clients in consumer class actions, products liability suits, and Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200 actions. Some of the representative cases Brian has handled include the following: • A $2 million dollar settlement involving a dispute between a property owner and its contractor over the construction of a building. • A $1.5 million settlement for an owner in a dispute with its contractor and the contractor’s surety over the installation of a sewer project. • A complete defense of a multi-million dollar products liability and patent infringement case involving a medical products manufacturer that obtained a $2 million attorneys’ fees award for the client as part of post-trial motions. Personal Information Brian was born and raised in Michigan and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. His roots in the Bay Area stem from his college years, graduating from Stanford University in 1993. Brian began his career in Chicago at the law firm Jenner & Block, but later moved to California to work at the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
